Mallie Media (formerly EMM Productions) is an independent film and television production company based in Belfast. Established in 2012 by Eamonn Mallie and Michael Mallie, Mallie Media produces high quality documentaries, specialist factual programmes and feature films for a range of broadcasters including: BBC, RTÉ, UTV, Virgin Media Ireland and TG4.

Eamonn Mallie

Multi award winning journalist Eamonn Mallie is one of Ireland’s most respected and well-known media personalities. Eamonn who worked as a reporter and political correspondent out of Belfast for over three decades covered every aspect of Northern Ireland’s Troubles, interviewing figures including Nelson Mandela, Margaret Thatcher, Bill Clinton, John Major, Tony Blair, Mother Theresa, Bertie Ahern and Charles Haughey.

At the 26th Sony Radio Academy Awards ceremony – Mallie won the ‘Local and Regional Lifetime Achievement’ Award for his reporting the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

He established EMM Productions – an independent film and television production company alongside his son Michael Mallie in 2012. Prior to the formation of EMM Productions, Eamonn worked on a number of documentaries for broadcasters in the UK and Ireland – including: ‘Dispatches: Peace Process’ for Channel 4 as presenter, ‘Noel Murphy: A House Divided – Assembly Portrait Documentary’ for RTÉ as presenter and ‘Endgame in Ireland’ for BBC, RTE & PBS as a historical consultant.

As a founding member of EMM Productions, Eamonn’s credits include: Paisley Genesis to Revelation – Face to Face with Eamonn Mallie for BBC NI, Blackshaw – An Edge of Society Man for BBCNI, Stephen McCoy – The Fight of my Live, for BBC NI, Tír Eoghain: The Unbreakable Bond for TG4 and BBCNI and A Woman’s Place for Oireachtas TV and RTÉ.

 An Irish language graduate of Trinity College Dublin Eamonn is a fluent Irish speaker. He presents his own television series Eamonn Mallie: Face to Face with… for UTV. 

Michael Mallie

Michael Mallie has been running Mallie Media (former EMM Productions) since its formation in 2012 alongside Eamonn Mallie.
